Blanton could rejoin club on Monday

|
PHILADELPHIA -- Right-hander Joe Blanton likely will rejoin the Phillies' rotation next week, possibly as early as Monday against the St. Louis Cardinals at Citizens Bank Park. He has been on the disabled list since the season started with a strained left oblique.

Shortstop Jimmy Rollins continues to progress with his strained right calf, but Philadelphia assistant general manager Scott Proefrock said his return is not imminent.

Left-hander J.A. Happ had been scheduled to throw off a mound Friday, but no other details were immediately available. He is on the DL with a strained flexor pronator muscle in his left arm.
