NEW YORK -- Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg challenged a call Saturday night at Citi Field, and the ruling came back in his favor.
Replay officials overturned the safe call on the field by deciding that Philadelphia second baseman Chase Utley tagged out a sliding David Wright during a rundown in the fourth inning. Replays confirmed the Phillies successfully executed the 3-6-3-4 double play initiated by Lucas Duda's ground ball to Ryan Howard.
The review took 40 seconds.
