NEW YORK -- Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said the team is expected to promote "five or six" players to the big leagues when rosters expand in September.
Many of those players might get the call Tuesday, following Triple-A Lehigh Valley's season finale Monday.
Sandberg did not divulge who will be called up, but strong possibilities include infielder and Phils No. 3 prospect Maikel Franco, right-hander Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez, infielder Cesar Hernandez and catcher Cameron Rupp. Outfielder John Mayberry Jr. and right-hander Mike Adams also are expected to be activated from the disabled list.
