With their team in Los Angeles, Philadelphians are backing their Phillies in a big way from home.
Philadelphia took an 8-6 win over Los Angeles in Thursday's series opener. Nationally, the game shown on TBS drew nearly seven million viewers for a 4.3 rating. That is a five percent rise from last year's game nationally. Overall, the MLB postseason has had double-digit viewership growth for TBS compared to 2008. U.S. household ratings are up 10 percent, total viewers and households are both up 11 percent.
