PHILADELPHIA -- Major League Baseball released its 2010 schedule Tuesday, which has the Phillies opening their season April 5 in Washington.
The Phillies play their home opener April 12 against the Nationals.
Philadelphia hosts Boston from May 21-23. The Phillies play the Red Sox and the Yankees in an Interleague road trip from June 11-17. They host the Twins and Indians at Citizens Bank Park from June 18-24 before playing the Blue Jays in Toronto from June 25-27. The Toronto series is the beginning of a 10-game road trip that includes Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.
The Phillies have 10-game homestands April 30 -- May 9 against the Mets, the Cardinals and the Braves and Aug. 17-26 against the Giants, Nationals and the Astros.
Philadelphia plays its final 24 games against the National League East. It has a nine-game homestand against Washington, Atlanta and New York from Sept. 17-26 before finishing the season with a six-game road trip against the Nationals and Braves from Sept. 27-Oct. 3.
