Right-hander Rodrigo Lopez was released from the 40-man roster to clear a space for Tracy.
Escalona has been "riding the shuttle" this season since first making his big league debut in late spring, as this was his sixth recall to the club in 2009. In six games with the Phillies, he's gone 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA. Lefties are hitting just .143 against him.
In his Minor League stints, he combined to go 2-3 with 14 saves and a 3.13 ERA in 47 games between Reading and Lehigh Valley.
Tracy, 35, hit .254 with 26 homers and 96 RBIs in 129 games for the IronPigs, finishing second in the International League in home runs and RBIs.
