Next year's coaching staff won't be decided soon

ATLANTA -- Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said Saturday the 2014 coaching staff won't be finalized anytime soon.

"There's a process [general manager] Ruben [Amaro Jr.] and I are going through," Sandberg said. "It'll be well after the season is over with, that's for sure. I wouldn't really put a timetable on it. It'll be a process. It'll take some time. It'll be a priority going forward right after the season is over."

But while it might take time to finalize everything, the current coaching staff is expected to learn their fate in the coming days. It is unclear how many coaches, if any, will return.
