Tickets on Sale Tuesday for Phillies Baseball 101 for Women

Tickets to the popular Phillies Baseball 101 Clinic & Luncheon for Women, presented by Apple Vacations and Palladium Hotels & Resorts, will go on sale Tuesday, March 12, at 9:00 a.m.

The first Phillies Baseball 101 event for this season will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013, and features an interactive, on-field clinic with the Phillies coaches, behind-the-scenes sessions with a Phillies player, broadcaster and key personnel, a delicious luncheon, pre-game party with the Phillie Phanatic, which is also hosted by 98.1 WOGL's Valerie Knight and Frank Lewis, a ticket to the Phillies-Boston Red Sox game at 7:05 p.m. that evening and more.

"Phillies Baseball 101 gives our female fans the chance to take a swing at being a major leaguer both on the field and in the front office.  It's really a great way to get an up-close and personal look at all aspects of the game," said Meghan Essman, Phillies Director of Fan Development & Educational Programs. "We encourage fans to register as soon as possible, as space is limited."

"Apple Vacations and Palladium Hotels & Resorts are excited to partner with the Phillies for such a unique event where our staff, travel agents and other fans can get an inside look how a first-class baseball team is made," said Tim Mullen, president of Apple Vacations.  "Apple is also thrilled that the event benefits Phillies Charities."

This is the fourteenth time the Phillies are hosting the event to benefit Phillies Charities, Inc. In total, more than $230,000 was raised for charity through Baseball 101. The event has sold out each time.
