BRADENTON, Fla. -- Phillies setup man Mike Adams looked sharp in his second appearance this spring.
He struck out one in a perfect inning Monday in a 5-0 victory over the Pirates at McKechnie Field. He has made two scoreless appearances this spring. Adams is coming back after having thoracic outlet syndrome surgery in October.
"I feel good," he said. "Everything is coming along the way I expected, the way I hoped. It feels like the arm strength is getting a little better every outing. I'm just trying to carry this the rest of the month and into April."
