PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 17, 2012) - Comcast SportsNet will host the We Live Philly Sports Festival on Sunday, October 21 at XFINITY Live! in South Philadelphia. The family friendly event will run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and feature food and drink specials, appearances by team mascots, cheerleaders, dance team members and face painters. The first 1,000 fans will also receive a special limited edition We Live Philly Sports festival t-shirt. Free parking will be available.
Some of Philly’s most beloved athletes from the past four decades, including Jeremiah Trotter, Darren Daulton, Bernie Parent and Darryl Dawkins, will be on hand to sign autographs at the event. The first 350 people in line will receive an autograph from all four athletes. (Comcast SportsNet will provide a We Live Philly Sports poster for signing, no personal items will be permitted.)
Lines for the We Live Sports Festival at XFINITY Live! begin at 9 a.m., with doors opening at 11 a.m. All fans must enter through the Southwest entrance (facing the Wells Fargo Center). This is a free event and is open to the public.
Comcast SportsNet on-air personalities will be on hand to meet with fans including Neil Hartman, Ron Burke, John Boruk, Lisa Hillary, Danny Pommells, Marshall Harris, Ricky Bottalico, Amy Fadool, Ben Davis, Gregg Murphy, Steve Coates, Keith Jones, Jim Jackson, Jim Salisbury and Tim Panaccio.
The Phillie Phanatic and ballgirls will also be on hand to entertain fans, as will Eagles Cheerleaders, Swoop and Drum Line. The Philadelphia Flyers Ice Girls and Sixers Dream Team and Flight Squad will appear at the event. The Philadelphia Union will also have a player attend and Major Mollies will be handing out items. There will also be team inflatables and other giveaways.
Everyone who attends the We Live Philly Sports Festival on October 21 will be registered to win the Ultimate Philly Sports Ticket package which includes four tickets to all of Comcast SportsNet’s pro team partners including Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, Sixers, Union, Wings, plus basketball and football tickets for Villanova, Temple and Penn, and basketball tickets from LaSalle, Saint Joseph’s, and Drexel. Registration will take place at the event, with the winner announced at 1:30 p.m. Winner must be in attendance.
