CLEARWATER, Fla. -- After 604 Major League appearances spread over a 21-year career and nine organizations, Jamie Moyer finally arrived.
The 45-year-old Phillies left-hander received the ultimate promotional honor Monday, when the Phils unveiled their giveaways, and bestowed the veteran with the first bobble figurine of his career.
"Absolutely," Moyer said, asked if this meant that he finally arrived as a big leaguer. He'll likely have to get at least six of them, for each of his children.
Other 2008 promotional highlights include:
Modell's Sporting Goods Opening Day 2007 NL East Champions Pennant (March 31).
Citizens Bank Phanatic Birthday Paint-the-Phanatic figurine (May 18).
A Jimmy Rollins MVP baseball and collectible tin (April 12) and bobble figurine (June 4).
A "Cole in Your Stocking" T-Shirt, in honor of the Phillies Christmas in July promotion (July 25).
