SAN FRANCISCO -- An alleged drunken hit-and-run driver struck a 9-year-old Phillies fan following Thursday's game at AT&T Park.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Ryan White, who lives with his family in Yardley, Pa., is in critical condition. White and his family were in California on vacation, timing their trip to coincide with this week's series between the Phillies and Giants. He was hit just blocks away from the ballpark.

"Hoping for the best," Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins said from his Twitter account (@jimmyrollins11). "Our prayers are with u."

The Phillies and Giants autographed memorabilia, which they sent to the hospital. Before Friday's game the Giants asked fans to keep White in their thoughts.

The suspected driver, Andrew Vargas, allegedly struck White while driving the wrong way down a one-way street. The truck hit several cars before speeding away, according to police. He was arrested a few hours later.
