The Phillies and Mets aren't quite done.
After a convincing win by the Phils in Monday's opener -- led by Chase Utley and Pat Burrell -- the teams meet on Tuesday for the second of a four-game series. Philadelphia enters the game five games behind New York in the National League East.
Tuesday's starter, Adam Eaton, threw a 40-pitch rehab outing at Double-A Reading on Friday and will try to turn his year around as the season winds down.
The Mets counter with Tom Glavine, who endured his first rough outing in a month on Thursday, giving up six runs and 11 hits in five innings against the Padres. While hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park may not be the best of antidotes, the lefty held Philadelphia to one run in six innings there earlier this year, despite walking five batters.
PHI: RHP Adam Eaton (9-8, 6.36 ERA)
He is 5-0 with a 1.89 ERA in five career outings vs. the Mets.
NYM: LHP Tom Glavine (11-6, 4.32 ERA)
At 301 wins and counting, Glavine is 28-17 with a 3.78 ERA in his career vs. the Phillies.
