Phils' NLDS pitching staff not yet finalized

ATLANTA -- The Phillies said they have not decided how many pitchers they will carry on their National League Division Series roster.

Manager Charlie Manuel said the number seems to be 11 and 12, while pitching coach Rich Dubee said the number seems to be 10 or 11 because of the days off in the eight-day Division Series.

One of their biggest decisions is carrying two left-handed relievers. Manuel said they would like to carry two, which would make Antonio Bastardo a favorite for a spot.

"I'm not sure how many pitchers you really need in a five-game series," Manuel said.
