CINCINNATI -- Left-hander J.A. Happ made his fifth rehab start Tuesday with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, but likely will get more work before he rejoins the Phillies.
Happ allowed six hits and four walks in just four innings Tuesday. He is 1-1 with a 6.98 ERA in five rehab starts.
Happ will throw a bullpen session on Thursday in Pittsburgh. The Phillies will evaluate him then. Happ has until July 7 to complete his rehabilitation, which means he can get one more start. If the Phillies decide he still is not ready to rejoin the club, they can apply for an extension to his rehab. If that fails, Happ has options remaining and could option him to the Minors.
